LADP-3 Microwave Electron Spin Resonance Apparatus
LADP-3 Microwave Electron Spin Resonance Apparatus
Experiments
1. Comprehend and master the functions and adjustment methods of each microwave waveguide component.
2. Understand the basic principles of ESR as well as compare its characteristics with those of NMR.
3. Observe the phenomenon of electron spin resonance in the microwave band and measure the Landé g-factor of the electrons existed in the DPPH sample’s radicals.
4. Understand the status involving stationary wave formed by the wave TE10 in the resonant cavity, adjust the length of the sample cavity, measure various resonance points and determine the waveguide wavelength.
5. Estimate the DPPH sample’s transverse relaxation time depending upon the spectral linewidth of such sample.
