LEEM-9 Magnetoresistive Sensor & Measuring Earth’s Magnetic Field
As a natural magnetic source, geomagnetic field plays an important role in military, aviation, navigation, industry, medicine, prospecting and other scientific research. This instrument uses a new permalloy magnetoresistance sensor to measure the important parameters of the geomagnetic field. Through experiments, we can master the calibration of the magnetoresistance sensor, the method of measuring the horizontal component and magnetic inclination of the geomagnetic field, and understand an important means and experimental method of measuring the weak magnetic field.
Experiments
1. Measure weak magnetic fields using a magnetoresistive sensor
2. Measure the sensitivity of a magneto-resistance sensor
3. Measure the horizontal and vertical components of the geomagnetic field and its declination
4. Calculate the geomagnetic field intensity
